The new Monster represents all the Ducati essence in the most compact form, essential and light as possible. You can already guess from the name: Monster, nothing else. The recipe is the original one: a sports engine, but perfect for road use, combined with a Superbike-derived frame. That is everything and only what you need to have fun, everyday.

The new Design Monster

The new Monster is such because it retains the DNA of the Monster, the concept that generated it in 1993: have only what it takes to have fun on the bike, that is, an engine, a saddle, a tank and a handlebar. And because it undoubtedly has the distinctive elements that characterize this model: the "bison back" tank, the circular lighthouse "embedded in the shoulders", the clean tail, the engine takes center stage.

Everything you need to have fun

The Monster mounts the 11 ° Testastretta engine from 937 cc L-twin, with desmodromic distribution and Euro approved 5. Compared to the previous 821 grows in displacement, power, torque and drop in weight (-2,4 kg) to contribute to the lightness of the bike and offer better driveability. Now it delivers 111 CV a 9.250 rpm with a maximum torque of 9,5 kgm delivered for only 6.500 rev / min, proving efficient and reactive in the response to the gas. Thanks to the increased displacement, torque has improved at all revs, in particular to the medium-low ones, or those most commonly used on the road and between curves. This guarantees thrilling performance as well as ease and driving pleasure, also supported by the new gearbox and the Ducati Quick Shift Up / Down fitted as standard. Also available in version from 35 kW, for A2 driving license holders.
